Twenty-four-year-old Elsa Rook was never really curious how she ended up in orphanage. Indeed, she didn’t have any memory of what happened to her parents. But she didn’t worry; instead, she focused her efforts trying to help get other kids adopted. Unfortunately, she was never adopted herself and left the orphanage at 18. She then worked a job to support herself while attending college to get a degree in child psychology. Afterward, she got a job at the college as a student counselor.
Recently, she has been having reoccurring nightmares involving a fire and a small boy. In hopes to stop the bad dreams, she returns to the orphanage to ask the nuns about her past. The nuns are hesitant to give her information, but eventually tell her she was transferred from the town of Silent Hill. Elsa decides she must go to the town to put to rest the images of fires and that sad-looking boy…
